STR Blog – St Xaviers College BMM Fest

So we were invited by the St Xaviers College BMM (Media Studies) students to judge their rock band competition. The festival was called ‘Zeitgeist’ and we saw a grand total of three bands play some covers and original songs and give a marketing spiel about themselves before the performance(which was quite strange, but cool- great practice for future marketing grads). We saw some innovative bands and some genuinely good stuff. Later, we had a short jam with Alex (from one of the participating bands) on drums.

It felt great to be back at Xaviers. Stu, JJ, Ryan, Goldy and I are ex Xavierites.

What’s not to like?

If we have enough votes, and put on a good enough show on the 24th in Pune, we could be playing alongside Kings of Leon (maybe) at the Hard Rock Calling Festival in Hyde Park, London.

We’ll owe you one. And Goldy will send chocolates to everyone who voted (another maybe).
